How Will You Participate in Chapel Hill’s Jubilee? We hope everyone will participate and do the best they can to help us reach our goal. So, how will you be able to help? It may help to use the worksheet below to discern what it is God wants you to do. 1. Pray It is essential this effort be covered thoroughly with prayer by God’s people. Please pray for God’s blessing on this effort; for each of us to draw closer to Christ as we respond to God; for each person at Chapel Hill to give sacrificially; for our Year of Jubilee service on May 18th; and specifically for how God wants you to give. After praying for God’s leading, I believe he wants me to help with the Year of Jubilee offering on May 18th _______ 2. Decide how you will give. There are many, many ways to give to the Jubilee offering. Be creative. Ask God to help you find ways to do what you can. You can use the checklist below to help you know what is best for you. ___ Stocks, bonds, securities ___ Have a garage sale or auction ___ Certificates of Deposit, or Interest ___ Sell antiques, jewelry, etc. ___ Real Estate or rental property ___ Savings ___ Vehicle, motorcycle, boat, bicycle, ___ Corporate matching gifts trailer, etc. ___ Clean out attic or garage ___ Cash in unneeded life insurance ___ Proceeds from odd jobs ___ Forego a vacation or large purchase ___ Make something and sell it ___ Forego eating out for a period of time ___ Other ___ Give from income $___________ 3. Make plans to give from your heart. Have fun giving! Questions & Answers Can I give before May 18? Yes. That is especially good for property that will need to be sold. Will all funds given for Jubilee be used for the mortgage? Yes. How do I give? Cash can be given on May 18 in worship, or any time before then. Property can be given during any week by contacting the office. What if I can only give from income? Great! That works too. |
